How to Get Here?
By train
You can reach Uppsala by train through Uppsala Central Station. Please see the SJ website for more information.
By air
You can travel to Uppsala by airplane to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, situated approximately 35 km south of the city. Public transport runs between Uppsala and Arlanda frequently, and includes buses, trains, and taxis. Depending on the mode of transport you use, it will take between 20 and 45 minutes to travel from Arlanda to Uppsala.
If you would like to take the train from Arlanda to Uppsala, you can purchase tickets from SJ’s website or at the tourist information and train ticket office at the airport. Taking the train will likely be the fastest way for you to travel. Tickets will cost approximately SEK 175 – 210. For more information, please visit SJ’s website or UL’s website.
You can also take bus number 801 from Arlanda to Uppsala, and will cost you approximately SEK 100. Tickets can be purchased at the Arlanda Visitor Centre located in Terminal 5, or at information desks in Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased on board (please note that only card payment is accepted on board). For more information, please visit UL’s website.
Uppsala Taxi offers a fixed price for passengers travelling from Arlanda to Uppsala. They charge approximately SEK 500. You can find a variety of different taxi companies in the taxi area outside of the airport.

Accommodation
There are plenty of hotels in Uppsala, many within walking distance or a short bus ride from the main conference venue at Campus Blåsenhus. There are no specific conference hotels. We can, however, recommend the following hotels, all conveniently located with easy access to transportation, tourist attractions, and the university campuses:
Hotel Von Kraemer – located close to the Uppsala castle and the botanical gardens. Ca. 5 min walk to Campus Blåsenhus.
Akademihotellet – located between the Uppsala castle and the cathedral, close to the Carolina Library. Ca. 10 min walk to Campus Blåsenhus.
Elite Hotel Academia – located by the train station in the downtown area. Ca. 15 min walk to Campus Blåsenhus.
Clarion Collection Hotel Uppsala – located by the train station and Uppsala concert hall. Ca 20 min walk to Campus Blåsenhus, or 15 min by bus.
